Are those real zippers?

Yes! A local dry cleaner closed after several decades of service, including zipper repair. While picking up a few items we purchased on Marketplace, my partner spotted jars of zipper heads on a shelf. Each zipper has its own past, stage of wear, and look; even matches aren’t exactly perfect and that’s the beauty of DIY.

Are your earrings real metal?

Yes! Every zipper is metal, though the exact metal cannot be identified by my eye, and the hardware is all nickel-free metals - silver plated iron, red copper, and bronze.

How do I care for my earrings?

I highly suggest using rubbing alcohol or hydro peroxide on the hook / stud only, not on the zipper. If you must clean the zippers, I suggest using gentle soap and water.

When should I expect my order to arrive?

Orders are shipped within two business days of purchase. Orders made on Friday will be shipped Monday, save for bank holidays. Your order will arrive carefully packaged and wrapped in a recycled poly mailer.

Can I pickup in person?

Absolutely! Choose the “local pickup” option and I’ll contact you to arrange a pickup.

Do you accept returns?

I do accept returns within 14 days of delivery. Upon receiving the returned items and confirming the condition is the same they were sent as, you’ll be refunded for the item, not the shipping cost.

If your item is damaged in transit, please contact me with your order number and photos of the item and packaging. 

Are you open to commissions?

I’m definitely open to commissions, though keep in mind all zippers are varying condition and stages of wear so no two earrings will be the same and most times the colors don’t match exactly.
